More Chores....

Took all morning sorting out paperwork to get the trailer registered in South Dakota.
Downloaded the documents, then had to find somewhere to print them out.  Finally directed to the Public Library, but that didn't open til 10am, but only cost 20 cents.  Then to a bank for a notary public to countersign the documents.  Then to the post office to send it all away.  Took all morning to do all that.....  And to send Aircraft Spruce a bulk supply of VGs, so that at least helped to fund the trip....

On the road at last, planned to stay at Walmart in Bend, OR, for an early stop with internet coverage to catch up on this blog.  But big signs state "...No Overnight parking..."  So headed on to the next small airfield at Sun River.   But that turned out to be a strip for fly-in clients as part of a luxury resort.. Right next to the golf course, big impressive gates, and lots of  upmarket traffic, said to me, no chance of camping on that airfield, so pressed on.....  Getting late now, and remember that I have no headlights at all, so don't want to get caught on the road at dark....  All heavy forest country, and lots of tourist traffic, so not much chance of getting away with camping-out somewhere, so stopped at an RV park, first time this trip.  It was good to have a shower, but sure wouldn't like to stay in these 'motorhome suburbias' any more than necessary....

Studying the Sectional Charts and getting excited about going farther inland into some really remote areas instead of this tourist zoo....  But may not find internet signal out there...
